Minimum Wage Increasing in Massachusetts
Recently there has been some new legislature passed which bring changes to most Massachusetts employers: Governor Baker’s ‘Grand Bargain Deal’ (signed June 28, 2018) and the non-competition Act (signed August 10th).
The ‘Grand Bargain Deal’ is an act of compromise legislature which primarily preempted and avoided the divisive “Fight for Fifteen” ballot battle in the November election.
Minimum Wage: for regular hourly employees, a rise from the $11.00/hr
presently to $15.00 in 2023, rising to $2012 in January 2019 and $0.75/year thereafter.
